Working for many years as a dancer and choreographer has given me a tremendous perspective on the world of art and design. My view is that art transcends medium; messages come through all the senses. Curiosity and exploration of all mediums inspires my creative spirit, as well as collaborating with the wonderfully talented women in my design studio. I’ve also been part of an artists’ cooperative in this city for over 20 years, and the exposure to some many different artists and art forms has brought about an immeasurable positive influence into my own design.

I use my individual client meetings to work on custom pieces and put myself in a framework for seeing my designs in a new way. Incorporating their vision into a hand-made piece can set off a domino effect of variations on a theme.

We use a wide range of materials with both precious and semi-precious stones, freshwater and south sea pearls, as well as mixed metals with findings and chains of sterling silver, 14-karat yellow and white gold, or gold fill. Having such a bounty of texture, shape, and color around pushes me to continuous experimentation.
